Daniel joined Jaunt in 2014 and currently serves as CTO leading the development of the technical strategy. During his tenure with the company he lead a variety of engineering and research efforts to advance Jaunts technology stack and products.
Prior to joining, Daniel held highly technical roles at Intel and the Lucas Center for Imaging developing novel approaches for acquiring and processing of 2D and 3D imagery.
Daniel has expertise in Mathematical Modeling, Computer Vision & Computational Photography, Machine Learning and Medical Imaging. He is originally from Austria and has a master’s degree in Computer Science and Signal Processing from the University of Technology Graz, Austria and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
In his spare time, you can find him on a kiteboard around the San Francisco Bay Area or skiing with his two young sons.
